I want to get in on the Dish 6000 HD special they're running. Right now, I have the dish 500 pointed at 119 and 110. Will this get my Dish Network HD programming?

Thanks!

it WILL get you whatever is on the 110 bird...but you'll need to search around because I am not sure which channels are still ONLY on the 61.5/148 sats (if any)

I have the Dish 500 (110 and 119), and get all four Dish channels on their $9.99 package:
Discovery HD
HD NET
HD NET Movie
ESPN HD

The HD stuff on HD Net and Discovery HD is STUNNING. And HD football (when ESPN has it on HD) is equally stunning.

Thanks for the info all. I currently get the CBS locals out of Atlanta and Los Angeles. How can I get CBS HD? will I need a new antenna?

From the DishNetwork site on HD:

HIGH DEFINITION UPDATE
DISH Network has expanded its line-up of High Definition programming to include CBS-HD programming from WCBS in New York, and from KCBS in Los Angeles.
NOTE: To take advantage of this High Definition signal, subscribers must have a second dish antenna pointed at the 61.5 or 148 satellite location and an IRD HD Receiver Model 6000. A High Definition Television is also required.

(there is more info there about how to "qualify")
