The listing for CH1RU is still there and recently mirrored to 105. Don't know what the hold-up is. But I know it's a contractual issue between Dish and the content provider.

Whats the deal with the dumb 595? I have people who are ready to become new subscribers to Dish Network as soon as channel 595 becomes available and this stalling is not making them happy. If this channel does not turn on soon, my people will move back to Russia to watch this channel for free over there.

According to some rumours (at Ch1 TV forum) - someone called Moscow or something, and they told him something like Oct 15, 2003 (this time...)

So who knows.. we ll see... 15th is Wednsday... (and usually all the EPG changes mostly happening on Wednsdays.. - so - LOL...)

Evil one and others - Ch1 Russia will officially become available Oct 16th 2003 (and who knows, maybe technically even Wednsday Oct 15th... cuz we know - often simular EPG changes, additions are often made on Wednsdays)... But Oct 16th at the least :)

Hey darkman, the price of the channel is not gonna be 19.95 as was shown back in July huh? Guess they decided 20 per month is too high for one channel. Why not just make it 15.


I spoke with my russian dish network installer and he said dish network is thinking about adding another russian channel for a total of 5 channels. I wonder if his sources are correct?

Darkman...According to information for another ANONYMOUS e-mail, CH1RU is now "technically" available. It has not shown up on the EPG yet, but all indications are that it will "pop up" tomorrow or thursday!
