Yup, 3 more days for your guides. After that you can manually record on your ReplayTV but that's it.

I bought one of the first ReplayTVs, used to own 3. They were and I would argue still are the Best in features that I would Love to see in a new box.

Commercial Skip (Automatic, you don't have to press a skip button a few times, it just did it, and most of the time (99% for me) it was accurate.

DVR Shareing. You want to watch something recorded in the living room DVR, but you don't want to leave your bedroom, that's fine :) Oh yeah, and you could Also share with people Outside of your house. Your friend record the Baseball game and you forgot, Just get it from him :) You saw a new series and wanted yer brother to check it out, but he lives across the country, No Prob. Just send it to him

Need more space, just turn your computer into another ReplayTV and store shows there.

Ya, Tivo incorporated some of their stuff, and Tivo has the market share, but I never liked my Tivo compared to my ReplyTV. I gave my Tivo to a friend after only about 2-3 months of use.

Unfortunately ReplayTV Did stuff that a lot of Corporate people didn't like, and they just didn't have the 'Cool Name', and marketing just wasn't there. So now the advent of HDTV has finally killed the ReplayTV, though it has been dieing a slow painful death for years. :(

Here's to you ReplayTV, you will live long in my heart :)

Yup, they aren't killing it after all. They said the positive response was overwhelming, but if I had to guess, I bet it was a poo-storm of complaints and threats of lawsuits since most of us paid for lifetime service.

Saves me some grief. I love that box, it's the only reason I still have one SD receiver.
