HTS Receiver Model 3500 ?

A retailer told me he has an HTS Model 3500 receiver for a D* system. I have never heard of these & need info. Are they decent units? Which E* receiver is it comparable to? Is the "Acc" jack in the back an optical audio output, as this guy seems to think? Is this a C-Band unit?

It is an antique. No Echostar receiver is D* compatible I think you mean E*. The HTS is the equivalent of the model 3000 which was the second generation product for DISH. As a gift it might be worth something if it hasn't taken a software download recently it is probably worthless, the software will be too out of date to work.

Thanks! Yes, I did mean E*. I didn't think it was what I was looking for but have only talked to the guy over the phone. I'll keep searching.
