I get 40 signal on these two transponders, 60 on trans #2 and above 80 on all the others. My question is, what is on these transponders (is there a list someplace of the channels that are on each transponder?) I cannot for the life of me seem to get either 30 or 32 above 40 signal strength.

Your profile says you don't subscribe to satellite tv so how are you getting a 40? I actually went to the profile to try to find a location, just north of Dallas I am getting 59/61 on 30/32 on an oval dish.

My bad on the info, I"m a new subscriber to Direct TV (profile updated) and I'm IN Dallas, TX (very north side). (using a round dish)

My elevation on the dish is ~53 degrees, which seems to work best for all the other transponders.

Is there a list anywhere of channels on each transponder?

Thanks,
-Jordan

Jordan try peaking your dish for a little more signal, we are within 50 miles of each other and your signal is low, your high signals should be in the 90s.

I plan on giving it a shot this afternoon (can't activate service until ups brings my other reciever so there's no rush).

I have high 80-90 on all of them but 30, 32. I'm pretty sure Showtime and some other premium channels. I heard there is a problem with 30 and 32 for some people. They know about it and it should of been fixed when the new Satellite went up. But now I have no idea when it's going up.

I just had my oval dish installed and took a signal test using both of my DTiVos and the new HD receiver. I'm just verifying that TPs 30 and 32 are indeed about 15 to 20 points on average lower than the others. I believe that when the next satellite goes up, DirecTV will be doing some of their magic. :)

A list of channels assigned to each TP can be found here:

Sorry, it's on another forum. But, we are all family, right?
