It sounds like they'd already started dropping it, maybe I'm late to the party. I actually have one, but haven't used it in a long time. However, I am glad mine supported GC, my favorite Mario Kart game was Double Dash.

Gamecube games would be too big to go on the Virtual Console right?

Not a big deal at this point...

If you don't have a Wii by now, then you probably don't have a library of gamecube games you are going to try and play.

The next Wii, they already annoucned won't have GC support.

My Wii is flaking out, but not going to spend any money on it, with the new one comming next year.

I never had a GC, and I picked up some games for a couple of reasons. One, you can get quite a few GC games cheap, and good ones at that.

I do agree though that most people would have already had one though and probably the majority are just sitting there. I haven't even used my PS3 for gaming recently...the game I picked up last week was for PC.

I just sold my GC for $5 (all I could get for it).
So those that want to still play GC Games, can get the system for very very cheap.
