Talk about a moment of silence after that last out. wow
Marlins played a great series, Yankees had the same old attitude as always.
Cubs - Red Sox would have been a better series though. ;)

Let me join the crowd in congratulating the Marlins on a wonderful World Series title. For all we hear of teams missing out on the best teams and sneaking in to win it all, the Marlins and their fans can easily say they pretty much faced baseball's best in all three series this playoff year.

And speaking for just about every non New York baseball fan, I couldn't be happier the Yankees were on the losing end of it all. Makes it that much more enjoyable.

Hey Bills, this is not a flame bait, I don't even really like baseball that much, I'm just happy to see a team other then the Yankees score big. Seeing the Yankees get shut out and losing the World Series at home was almost like me seeing the Titans with a Super Bowl one of these years. I have the last out on my 508 and I must have played it back a 2 dozen times so far. Congratulations to the Marlins on an excellent season and on silencing Yankee Stadium.

If I'm correct, the Yankees have the highest salaries in baseball, while the Marlins have the lowest salaries.

Look like George couldn't buy the World Series championship again.

Look like George couldn't buy the World Series championship again. The Yankees will continue to buy championships, and small market teams will continue to struggle over the long haul (ESPN is already talking about how much money the Marlins lost this year, and what players they may be forced to get rid of). So the little guys may not win the war, but at least they won this battle.
