Another 2nd Dish quest. Is there a place to find out what channels will be on SuperD.

Is there a list of exactly what one could expect in terms of channels on the superdish. I am still trying to figure out if I will need the second dish.

I am in SoCal and I am using the second dish to watch JapanTV. I have AT50, HBO, and HD.

Do I need the second dish? Would be great to just have one.

Look for the Blue ones for slot 105 channels, and the ... err. gold? ones for 121 channels. Bah! You'll figure it out.

I thought superdish points to three birds. What would the third one be for a SoCal Person? Never been good at the SAT stuff. ;)

Hmmm Looks like JapanTV will be on 121.. Maybe I can do the SuperDish after all and drop the second Dish. Woo Hoo!!!

Yeah, the SuperDish does see 3 satelites, but the 110 & 119 aren't really that interesting to talk about.

WeeJavaDude hold onto your hat. You are going to need TWO SUPER DISHES. 1 to look at 105,110 & 119 and by DISH'S current plan you will need a second SUPER DISH to look at 121. You will also need the still non existent DISH PRO PLUS 4 X 4 switch.

Two Super Dishes UGH!!! I am not more confused than ever where is the HD channels going to live? and is the normal 3 sats that I would be pointing to would be 110, 119, and 105? Why not 110, 119, and 121? From the chart it looks like a lot of internationals are on 121 so I assumed that would be the new sat in the picture?

There are 2 versions of SuperDish.

Sort of a left-hand version & a right-hand version depending on whether you want the programming from 105 (HDs & new LILs) or 121 (new Intl's).

So theoretically, some people who want both HD & the new Intl's will have a SuperDish and a 2nd 30-35" dish with a FSS LNB.

You will probably get the 105 SuperDish & keep your 2nd Dish 300 aimed at 148 for TV Japan & some locals.

Thanks HTGuy.. That cleared it up.. Hmmm so know I am back to the DP44 issue. Was hoping I could get around that. Boy this is going to make things sticky.. Well have to see what happens when SuperDish is finally released.
