Why do I get the feeling that with this merger nothing much will change? Just because Charlie may be taking over DirecTV (pending legal approval of course) doesn't mean that things will run differently. After watching several Charlie chats it's been evident that Charlie doesn't really know much about what is going on. He constantly has to turn to others in the room to find out. It seems that when he does come up with an idea, he immediately delegates in down to someone else who may or may not take the idea and run. It just seems to me that when he starts delegating to people on the DirecTV side of the house, they may just tell him "Yes Sir, we'll take care of it"..and then go back to how they did things before.
Charlie will definitely have to take a more pro-active and hands-on stance during and after this merger if he wants to accomplish anything. Too much delegation can be dangerous.
