Boy, what a confusing mess the FCC has made locals over satellite...
I am taking a 6 month assignment for my job and will be in the Hudson Valley, NY (NYC DMA) for most of the work weeks. I will be back home with my family and maintaing permanent residence at my home in New England on the weekends.
I have a DHP plan with my local New England locals (no longer under any contract). Can grab my satellite dish and receivers and bring them with me for the 6 months I will be in New York to use there? I would like to switch to the NYC locals while I am there for local news, etc.
The sat install is no problem for me (I've done a dozen or so), but will Dish allow me to switch to NY locals, and keep my billing address in New England?
I am going thru this convoluted exercise because I REALLY REALLY want to keep my 508 while I am in NY - I'm addicted to PVR!
