DTivo Instore Demos
I really think I want to switch from Dish to DirecTivo now that my 12 month Dish contract is up, BUT I am unable to find a single store that actually has anything other than that !@#$ demo loop running in the store. I have been to Sears, BestBuy, Circuit City, GoodGuys, Magnolia HiFi and none of them can actually demo anything! I want to get a feel for the unit, channel changing speeds, interface, etc. How do they sell these things just from the commercial running in the store? Can anyone (especially in the Danville CA area) suggest where to go to get a REAL demo of DirecTV with Tivo?
Also, I have a HD set, so should I just wait for the HD version to come out? Would it be a better deal for a new customer at that time?
