For people like me that have tasted HDTV in it's infancy, the thought of never again having to endure bland SD broadcasting is like nirvana. The concept of viewing all my favorite shows in stunning HD, no matter what network it resides on, is a dream-come-true! However, there is one tiny flaw...oh yeah, lack of HD programming! While it is true VOOM offers more HD programming than any other competitor, it is not enough HD programming to make it worth the risk of switching from a well established provider to a company little is known about. It will not be too long before most major networks begin broadcasting in HD and when that day comes...WOW! But for now, we'll have to take what we can get. It is my opinion that if VOOM had waited a couple of years and allowed the technology to catch up to their plans they would have had a gold mine on their hands. But, they chose to jump in now and they are receiving predictable negative feedback. I honestly hope they have deep enough pockets to weather the storm of lackluster business for a couple of years. VOOM...Great idea...poor timing. I wish them well.
