Just Curious!!

I am new to the board and have a question. I currently have three (3) 301 receivers hooked to three different televisons and want a PVR for only one of the televisions.
Would it be possible to keep the existing 301 and hook a 508 or 510 single tuner PVR to it and be able to watch one live show and record another at the same time?
I'm trying to find a way to avoid paying $500 for a 721. I would appreciate any input.

You could certainly add a DVR unit to one of your televisions, but you'll have to run another line from your switch or your dish to that location for the new receiver. And, you'll of course be charged the additional $4.99/mo add'l receiver fee, plus the $4.98 DVR fee (if you end up with the 510 and don't subscribe to the AEP programming package).

But, the 301/5xx combination would allow you to record one show on the 5xx receiver while watching a show on the 301 receiver.
