ok! i was @ my friends tonight who has directv And here is the problem

While in the tv Area his tv had a searching for sat signal on the screen his connections where all set right But the tv in the living room worked
So is it one of his connections in his basment

Most likely a bad multiswitch or bad connection to the basement. Easy enought to tell by taking the receiver that works in the living room downstairs and try it out there. If still no signal then it's a bad connection/cable or multiswtich is on the fritz.

Well I found out why This was going On


The Kid was Ordering Adult Programming
So thats why his receiver did not work I had no Idea He was doing that
The Kid has some issues wich i will not get into but you Get it Right

You're saying you were over two fellow adult-friends's house, and that the reason why their receiver, located in the basement, had problems was because their kid ordered adult programming? This sent the receiver on the fritz? I don't get it!

The only way that could happen is if the two receivers were sharing the same multiswitch or LNB output by using a standard splitter. This is a no-no and could result in damaging one or both receivers.
