921 feed question...

Right now I have a Dish 6000 in my theater room. I understand the 921 will need 2 sat feeds. Does anyone know how much Dish will usually charge to install a second feed to the same receiver, i.e. the 921? (They already charged me $50 just for the visit).

Definitely need two feeds, they will charge you 4.95 for second feed per month and 4.95 a month for VOD capability of the 921 unless you subscribe to the everything pack.( any update on that one guys are the people with 921 in their hands paying that?)

Worked for me complete free install, and I had him run two feed into my house for my future 921.

I'm not so sure they charge you 4.95 for the second tuner "feed". None of the other 2 tuner units are that way.

But yes they will charge you the VOD fee.

That's interesting, any one else see it that way, would be great if they did not charge for second feed, got my info off the phone at Dish Network so not 100% reliable.

If he keeps the 6000, he'll get charged the additional $4.99 receiver fee. If the 921 replaces the 6000, that charge won't be there, but the DVR $4.99 fee will be.

I just called Dish about installing a line, for an additional receiver. They gave me a price of $119. Had it done locally for $90. Took one hour.

I suspect the $119 is to average out the easy installs (like mine), with those that take all day.

No - if the 921 is the only receiver on the account, there is no additional receiver fee because the 921 is one receiver (regardless of being 2 tuner + 1 OTA tuner).

Thanks Mark, and Bob, sorry I posted misinformation, again some ding dong at Dish had told me I would get charged for the two lines. Understand about the VOD charge.
