I currently subscribe to AEP and have a DVR-510. I Live in Philly and can't get
home team sports (CSN Philly). If I use the Cable/TV coax input on the back of the 510 for basic comcast service, and toggle between Dish and Comcast using
the TV/ VIDEO control, will the receiver distinguish between the two services, and map similar channel numbers accordingly? !pride

All the 510 does is pass the signal on the TV input through to the TV sets tuner, it doesn't process it.

Yeah, the only purpose of the tv/video is so that if your TV only has a single RF input, that you don't have to disconnect/reconnect your DVR and Cable TV when swaping between the two. You can just plug both into the 510, and press the button and it will switch.

Oh, and the 510 will not Record anything from the cable tv.
