View Full Version : Unusual problem????
I have a dish 500 system with two identical dishes. (twin LNBF) It has the basic JVC receivers and I use one system remotely away from my residence. Everything checks normal on the TV setup screen. The switch check Id's the connection and Id's the transponders as sat 119/110 even/odd. Both receivers work correctly on the remote dish. Neither work correctly on the home dish. I have subbed out all the cables and rechecked all connections. I have not read any voltages on the line. Later this week when I have opportunity to bring the LNBF from the remote dish, if my problem is solved, I will post again. From comments received on another post this must be an unusual problem. I can only receive channels on odd transponders, except for transponder 26 on Sat 110 and transponders 2,14 and 16 on Sat 119. All the channels on the other even transponders are missing with a 002 error message. It looks as though the LNBF is blocking out all the missing channels. I have not had any lightning that I recall and a rise high enough to mess up the LNBF should have done damage to the input on the receiver. The problem came on all at once, within a week at least.

Swap the LNB. Might be temperture sensitive , has the temp changed there this last week?
