For new customers who already have an HD monitor, DISH Network offers a promotion making the DISH 811 HD satellite TV receiver available for free. This is a savings from the MSRP of $399.

FREE 811?!?!?!! NICE!!!I didn't see the sarcastic tags, so I'm assuming you are serious. DishDepot has had a free 811 for new customers for a while now. How exactly is this new? Am I missing something here? Now if it was a free 921... :)

AT-50 to AT-60 , AT-100 to AT-120, Are these name changes only any new channels?

CDRU:

No- not sarcastic in the least! Ive been calling Dish themselves and they have been telling me that when they are available, Ill be able to get one for $199. Not free! Didnt realize its old news to y'all.. but I was excited to see this in the article that is linked to at the beginning of this thread.

Cheers-

I just looked on DishDepot and they are selling the 811 for $399 for existing customers. My post referred to a free 811 for EXISTING CUSTOMERS. Unless Im reading it wrong.

So does the new DAHP affect current DHP customers? I just got Dish service under the current DHP with an 811 and a 522 about a month ago - will I be paying these new prices - or is there a way to convince E* to let me pay those prices?

It affects all customers I think, unless you paid for the year in advance.

Unless Im reading it wrong. The "For new customers" part probably disqualifies you, unless you can convince your wife to take her maiden name, move, get a new phone number, and sign up. :) I beleive existing customers can get the 811 from Dish for 199 can't they?
