721 power button stopped working

My 721 was getting a little sluggish, so I rebooted it this morning. After it came back up, the power button would not work, either on the remote or on the unit itself. I could not turn it off, which I suppose is better than not being able to turn it on, but still not a good thing. So I tried rebooting again, and holding down the power button for 5 seconds did initiate the reboot just fine, and it came back up and I still can't turn it off. I had to leave for work so I didn't get a chance to try unplugging it to see if that fixes it.

Has anyone seen this before?

Try pulling the card. That fixed it for me once.

Thats just the way the 721 is, you can't turn it off for a few minutes after booting it up(I have no idea why)

Atleast you can turn it on right after booting it up...

This must be new with the latest upgrade because I've never had this problem before. Anyway, it was working fine when I got home.

Waiting works, or if you don't want to or can't wait, channel up or channel down then the power button will start working again as well. One thing I have discovered over the span of my service with E* is that work-arounds are a freakin' way of life with their products. The secret is in finding out what they are!
