I currently have an old 2700 receiver and I'm thinking about replacing it with a 510. I have a Dish 500 and was wondering if the 500 would work Ok. Will I have to change anything on the dish itself?

Just plug it in, do a check switch and you'll be good to go! :)

Well - plug it in, hook up to old satellite connection, do the check switch, let it update software, and activate it - but that's about it...
Took me all of 20 minutes from unpacking to watching TV on it.

Thanks...sounds easy enough. One more thing...i was going to take advantage of the 510 promotion and as far as I know its still going on. My service address is different from my billing address mainly so I can get locals out of Atlanta. Will I have to change my service address or will they give me an option on where i want he receiver sent? Just want to get all my facts straight before I call.

No you don't have to change your service address. Just specify that you want the receiver sent to your BILLING ADDRESS. I have done this myself last week for a new 510 and also rmas over the years and have had NO PROBLEM getting the receiver sent to my real address.
