I've seen this discussed elsewhere, but I haven't found a good discussion of the specifics of possible SW64 issues and the 921. Dish advanced tech support tells me they are not aware of any SW64 issues.
I've heard two things regarding the SW64. First, download the software before doing a check switch. I did a check switch before the software download. Other than the bugs that others are seeing, I haven't found any untoward consequences of checking the switch before the download. Is there something specific I should be looking for?
Second, I recall a post some time back where it was suggested that with a SW64, the first feed, with the power inserter, should be connected to the 921. Then I recall a later post stating that the first feed with the power inserter should not be connected to the 921. Based upon the first report, I'm using the first feed with the power inserter as one of the two feeds connected to the 921. What are the facts and potential problems with doing this?
