Hi all...

I was just reading all the threads about "moving" and I started to wonder. Here's my situation: I currently get my locals in michigan. However, I can not pull in a good enough ota signal to get any HD locals. I have a 811 receiver and the HD stuff is great that dish provides but I, like everyone, want network stuff in hd. I have family out in LA. What if I "moved" to LA and kept my michigan address for my mailing address? Would I then qualify for the LA package of locals? Is the CBS HD feed included to those living in LA automatically? Would my physical location in michigan somehow screw up my ability to pull in the signal of the LA locals? This is all assuming that dish will put the CBSHD signal on the 110/119 birds like they have all their other HD stuff. Anyone have any suggestions or answers on how to get CBSHD?

This will work but your EPG will be off by 2 hours and your RSN will change to FSN-West. FSN-West 2 is on spotbeam so you will not be able to get a signal from it. Also, only ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and WB will be available with the local package. The rest of the local channels will be out of the spotbeam range.

just "move" to a white area within Michigan..then you can get the distant CBS & CBS-HD.

What locals in Michigan do you get now? If you give us that, we might be able to help you find a nice spot to "move" to

I get the grand rapids/kalamazoo locals currently....I agree that "moving" to a white area michigan address makes more sense, but I wouldn't know what address to give dish that would be a legit address that is in a white area and that doesn't already have dish
