721 remote problem [Archive]

My remote malfunctions every two days. First I thought batt. not them. If I pull my card and reset it the remote works fine. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

If you are talking about the remote not responding to the first command, than yes, I have had this problem for a long time now and don't know of any fix. If not, what is the malfunction?

I was scrolling through the programming grid and all of a sudden it stopped. I could not go up/down/left/right. Pressing VIEW gets me back to the channel I was watching. If I press INFO, instead of getting the program info, I get the system info.

When it is in this state, the numbers do not work either.

Requires a reboot to fix.

Its software, but the latest one is better for me. That problem your having used to occur constantly. What revision are you on?

I see the same problem with the remote. It happens occationally, maybe once a week or so. Usually, everything works fine and I press the guide button, and then all navigation is frozen. A reboot fixes it. I've only seen this in the last couple of months - I think it coincided with the 1.16 software.

Mine has worked fine with this software. But the next forced revision who knows?:(
