I got the 921 today and installed it, I am receiving channels okay. Question is on the OTA ones though. I hooked up my ota antenna and went under dish pointing and set that to ota and channel 9, my closest hd local. I got a signal strength of 93 - 113 and locked, clicked done,, then scanned for DTV. I got a list of several including the one I want. They are showing digital with the station names. The problem is,, the option to save is not highlighted, how do I get them into my receiver list so I can tune to them ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The list is automatically saved when you scan dtv. But, it's a "feature" that's been reported to the beta team to make it clearer.

Okay, I got called back into work so didnt get a chance to really play. If they are automatically saved,, I should be able to find them in the guide somewhere. I should have more time tomorrow to play with it. Thanks Mark

I found the OTA channels this morning and tuned to the strongest. I got a picture for about 15 seconds, then popped up that it was aquiring sat signal. Took me forever to get back to a normal station. I will double check signal strength later tonight. I am wondering though if this OTA bug is causing what is now a severe slowdown with the guide. It takes up to a minute to page up or page down, if I try one channel at a time,, I can move through about 10 then another long delay. I can see the sat light on remote blink whenever I hit up or down and I can jump into menu so its not the remote. Also, I was wondering if there is any thoughts on allowing us to set how many days the guide contains. For me,, 2 days would be fine. This might speed up guide access (if the slowdown is caused by too much info) . Just thinking out loud. I took Mark's advice for viewing SD channels through the 921 and the picture is better than the 510, still waiting to see what all the fuss is over HD, have never seen it yet.

The guide will have about 9 days of data after you've been connected for 24 hours. The OTA stuff may be related to the current problems. The guide slowdown isn't because of too much data. Try doing a smartcard reboot and see if the guide gets faster - it should be about the fastest guide you've ever seen.

Will try that when I get back home. I think I will also delete my locals then do a reboot, then rescan. The antenna is tuned so its a simple process. Thanks
