I have an single LNB DTV system and recently bought an Terk TV42 (I should of read reviews first) antennae. The sat cable goes from lnb to antennae and
out of antennae to the house to an diplexer and to reciever and tv. Everything
worked fine for an couple of weeks. Now the sat picure is becoming pixelated
but I have an strong signal (96). I disconnected the ant. and run right off
the lnb to reciever and it is fine. Can the cable be bad some how and allowing
some type of crossbleed of the signals? If the cable is not bad this ant. is going
back. Any help would be apprieciated.
Thanks
MDS

There could be some moisture in the connections at the Terk antenna. The terk has a built-in diplexer for the satellite. Just another connection that can go bad.

Thanks for the help. It is snowing here in MI pretty good and it was a bit wet as well.
I will try to dry things out and see what happens. I havent heard good things about
Terk though.

If that dosent work it is probabaly a bad diplexer which one would be the question.

check other things like the ground block too. i have seen signals come and go before and after terk installs and most times it was something other than the terk, people just assumed since that was the last thing installed it was the culprit.

If there is even a ground block in line.It could also be a short in the wire somewhere,or a bad lnb. From what i have seen on these it usually turns out to be the diplexer inside behind the tv.

Unfortunetly I dont have a ground block installed. I have been meaning
to but never found time. About three weeks before I lost my signal and found
a section of wire the dog chewed up and broke the sheilding allowing
water to get in. I replaced the cable and all was well. About a week later
I got the Terk and was fine for a few weeks then it would pixelate. I disconected it from the inside diplexor was still the same. Only when I removed
the Terk out of the system all together did it get better. The Terk is set up
for a Dual LNB so I switched it to the other side and it was ok for a day or two.
I was going to run an seperate line all together but it gets its power from the
lnb. I was thinking maybe the voltage is fine but barely with out it having to power the Terk but once it is hooked up it is enough to cause problems.
Thanks for the help
