My 508 remote died last night so I will be shopping for a new one but I dont want to get ripped off. What is the retailer cost for a 508 remote if any one knows please post it. THANKS

for $29 + 8.95sh you can get a reman from E* with a 1year warrenty on it

Make sure that your 508 isn't under warranty any longer before going out to buy one.

What are you doing with your broken remote? :)

I basicly threw it really hard against the floor because it acts (acted) up one too many times. I was looking for a show on the EPG and it kept scrolling and wouldnt stop. It has been doing this for a while and i just snapped. Right now it is on top of my tv mocking me. I am using an old remote from my 2700 untill I get the replacment. As far as the reman remote from dish will they ship it to a an address other than my service address I "moved" ;) so the reman maybe out of the question. I bought my 508 in december of 2002 but since it was thrown the warranty would proabbly be voided because of that. Some of the stuff on the board inside broke off.

Your best bet is going to be on the web or E* directly because most retailers mark every thing up way too much on local E* wanted to charge me 59.00 for a new 301 remote another 50.00 it was outrageous. Dish Depot has some good deals check them out.

As far as the reman remote from dish will they ship it to a an address other than my service address I "moved" ;) so the reman maybe out of the question. When you order a reman one they should verify your shipping addy, if they don't just let them know that you need it shipped to another address besides your service addy. They should have no probs with changing the shipping address.

Hey thanks for the offer but I found one locally. Brand new remote for 32.00 I picked it up yesterday!
