This is a Kramer Tools VP-211 Automatic VGA/Audio Switcher. I used it to switch between a Dish Network 6000 and HTPC. I didn't use the audio portion of the device. To use this device, you connect the VGA to your HDTV set (or monitor) and you connect the Dish Network 6000 to one VGA Input. The HTPC is connected to the other VGA Input. When the HTPC is off, the HDTV set receives from the Dish Network 6000. When the HTPC is turned on, the VP-211 detects voltage on the input and switches to the new input.

This device has worked flawlessly for the 18 months that I used it. Now that I have sold my 6000, and replaced my HDTV set, I have no use for the device.
