Johnstown/Altoona can anyone confirm new date

Hi,
Just got word today that WTAJ-TV (Altoona) has received a press release stating that Johnstown/Altoona is going live as of TODAY the 22nd instead of the 29th. They have heard no other word of this from anyone yet. Can anyone confirm???

Well, I went in and typed my address and it still says "Unfortunately, this address is not eligible for any of the Local Network Packages." But with so many previous changes anything is possible anymore. :)

They wanted to hit it on the news,but being unable to confim, they pulled the story. Wouldn't Dish have had egg on their face if the news announced the package and then it wasn't ready???

It could be dish gave the stations the press release a week early to let people know the 29th. It may be in the Altoona mirror, or Tribune Democrat tomorrow.

WTAJ's press release from Echostar actually said LOCALS WILL LAUNCH TODAY, JAN 22ND, so Somebody at Echostar goofed!!! Almost made the news too!

I checked echostars press release page and no mention of the local launch in Colorado yesterday. Makes one wonder who is really in charge. Each CS person has a different answer.

Trust me I've been trying to add them today...It's the 29th....somebody goofed. I am a dish installer and it is the 29th for sure.

JohnH is speaking of channels on the E* system. Yeah, they will be there next week --- IF there are no problems --- just not today.

If they turned them on as is they would only show in the 7465 area of the EPG. They would not show in the lower local channel number area which you posted. They add that before they launch usually. However they did launch a couple of Scranton locals without them. :)
It is no big deal to get that done before they launch on the 29th.
