Question about Dishes

why do some people put it on the roof ????

When they could put it on the side of their house

couple of reasons (mine personally)

No clear view of South unless on roof
Live in townhome that doesnt have walls that have south view to mount to

Maybe they think it is less obtrusive on the roof? Not everybody thinks that it makes a good wall decoration.

As an installer, some customers think the higher the dish the better the signal. :confused: But as they say the customer is always right. :grin: :confused:

We are not aloud to the company says it is a liability.Unless it's brick or t-111 sided,no vinyl sideing because you dont know whats behind it,the sideing cant expand and contract,and if not anchored properly can pull out from weather and fall and hurt somebody,but these to me are all valid reasons not to mount to the side of the house.

Mine - can't see over the trees unless the dish is on the roof. If I put it on the ground that would clear the trees, then my house is in the way.
