4000 or 301?

I have what may be a stupid question. I am currently using 4000 reciever (with IR mod.)in the bedroom that I use with my Tivo. I use the Tivo exclusively for guide and changing the channels, I never use the DISH guide.The local Sears has a DP 301 for $50.00 Is there any advantages to upgrade to the 301? I have a Legacy quad LNB, if that makes any difference.

One advantage would be, if your locals become available or are available on SuperDISH or a side slot, the 301 is ready for SuperDISH or cascading the side slot switching.

The 301 stores the entire 44 hour guide, but that may not be a significant plus as you are using the TIVO for that.

As long as your 4000 is operating correctly, and you won't be needing to upgrade to SuperDish, I'd leave well enough alone. It sounds to me like your 4000 is doing everything you need it to, so I'd have to echo John's post.
