Since all the VOOM reviews are negative, is VOOM Doomed?

I think VOOM is premature. There is reluctance for the American public to spend the money on equipment that sets them up for HDTV. And not enough HDTV programming is currently available, which further frustrates sales from being made. I think it's going to take a few years, toward the end of this decade. Costs will be more reasonable affordable, and more programming in HDTV common amongst broadcast and cable stations. VOOM is trying to jump ahead of competition; but the billions spent -- Charter Communications, right? -- could spell doom. Right now, my answer to your question is…probably. Sorry it's not more definite.
