I had to replace my remote for my 508 the cheapest I found it for was 32.00 at a local retailer. I called about 10 diffrent retailers in my town and got prices as high as 99.00. The average was 50.00 but after a lot of calls I got it for 32.00. Dish Depot has it for 42.00 see:

Do not forget to figure in the shipping costs when buying on the internet. $99 seems pretty steep to me for ANY remote. If I were to spend that kind of money on a remote it had better turn the channels 500-1,000 feet through walls.
