With all the filler and shopping crap Charlie is shoving down our throats, you'd think he could hold off raising prices for a bit. Lord knows he gives the best slots to those shoppng channels. Anyone ever notice that those are the channels that seem to look the BEST? (i.e. no compression artifacts) Amazing, isn't it? :nono:

Charlie is a cheapskate he's not a damned fool. The shopping channels are basically on the bottom of the heap when it comes to priority for transponder space. But Charlie will carry them because they pay money which does keep the bill low.

Then in year or two when all he has is shopping channels Charlie should be PAYING US to watch Dish Network then, shouldn't he?

I wonder if they show people modelling the Victoria's Secret catalog on Catalog TV? Now that would be some interesting watching there!!!!!

Heh, I think he has run out of shopping channels though. The latest ones are duplicates of BTV channels as well as no-name channels that probably don't pay as much.

(i.e. no compression artifacts) Amazing, isn't it?That's very simple to do, with very little bandwidth when you are looking at a mostly stationary picture. I am sure that even though they look good that they are HIGHLY compressed.
