Direct Purchase from Dish Question

Quick question for anyone who's STBs or accessories directly from Dish. Do they charge sales tax? I know I get hit with sales tax on my monthly bill, does that apply for items that are more like traditional "mail order".

yes you do get charged sales tax on STB's from dish

They have charged sales tax to me for the state but not the local rate (8.25% local, 6.5% state). But, it seems to be charged on the next monthly bill. I ordered the 811 they charged me the $149, then on the next month statement it showed up $9.68 tax.
