View Full Version : How about that ... I've got two sets of locals!

Just thought I'd pass along an interesting tidbit ... I recently completed a move, and had Dish update my address from CT (NYC DMA) to MD (Washington DC DMA). When updating my account, I told the CSR "I want to keep my Network Package". "Oh, OK." What I meant was I wanted the DC locals and LA distant NETs package for $8.99. But what the CSR apparently did was keep my old pacakge (NYC locals plus LA NETs) and added the DC locals on top! So now I have access to all the DC locals, all the NYC locals, plus the LA NETs. :)

Now, I don't particularly need both DC and NYC locals for an extra $5.99/mo, so I will call in a few days and get this corrected, but it is interesting that the system will allow this setup if the CSR inputs it.

I would wait through a billing cycle and see how you get billed before you have the one removed.

Do you have local channel mapping for both sets of locals? That is, do both DC and NY locals show up on their OTA channel number?
