Favorites list ??

I have the not able to add more channels to my favorites list problem and I was wondering??? If I delete all my personal list will it let me start over and rebuild them or will I then be without any custom list.

I kind of do not understand why this is happening as I at one point was able to make custom list but now I can not. Was it the 2.63 update that hosed it up?? :whatdidid

You might try again. I did and the second time I managed to get more channels into the list than I did the first time. I understand this is a problem that is on the fix list.

O.K. Thanks for the reply, I can not get any of my unused list to accept any channels. I was able to delete and replace but I wanted to make a new list as I just got my locals on a second dish. Hopefully they will have a software update SOON and resolve this and the guide problem.

If I am not mistaken you get an average of 30 channels per favorite list for a total of 120 channels. You can divide it among up to four favorites lists any way you want. You can have 120 in one favorite list if you want to. What I do for some of my customers is to get rid of the junk channnels (ppv, dish logo channels, etc in the higher numbered channels) I setup a favorite list of all the channels a customer subscribes to if it is a small package. If it is a larger package I will ask the customer what they like to watch. Most do not use the favorite list functionality.

The Dish 811 user guide says,

"You can have an unlimited number of favorite channels but they must be grouped into no more than four list."

I have ONE custom list with 80 entries. I was hoping someone had a work around for this. I would delete the custom list and start over but I am worried it might not let me
re- enter a new list then I would have zilch..
Hopefully they will release a NEW software update VERY SOON to correct this and a few other problems. My patience is wearing a little thin.

Is the 811 receiver the only one with unlimited channels that can be progammed into each of the favorite lists? I thought that I remembered using a 301 that was able to have more than the limit on one favorite list alone.
