I have 2 dishes in a DishPro setup and 2 receivers. For the past several weeks, I have been getting a pretty consistent outage on 110, spot beam 4. The trouble is confined to my PVR-501. The 301 works flawlessly.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Are you on the edge of the spot? As the earth wobbles and the satellites drift back and forth in their orbital slot people on the edge have signal issues. When your 501 is out, have you checked the 301 to see if it is way down in signal?

The 301 has no problems at all. Signal is fine.

Well the next step I would take is swap around the recievers. This would help to eliminate cable issues. If the 501 still does bad when it is using the 301's connection, you probably have a bad 501. Time to sign up for the extended warrantee if you do not already have it.

Makes sense. Will do this first thing in the morning.

Thanks

I ran across this problem with a customer few months ago. They were still receiving Pittsburgh nets, while they live in central PA....way out of the spotbeam. They were having the same problems you are only with 2800 receivers. I finally fixed the problem with a new receiver. They haven't had any problems since. Hope this helps.

The good news is I got to watch the Pats beat the Cats uninterrupted! All I did was unplug the box for a few minutes and presto!

Thanks to all.
