GSN Acquires Classic Squares Episodes

Episodes of classic 1960s and 1970s game show Hollywood Squares will make their debut on Game Show Network beginning April 15 as part of an agreement announced Wednesday between the network and MGM Television Entertainment.

GSN also announced the acquisition of popular 1980s game show Win, Lose or Draw.

'We're thrilled to feature two of the most popular celebrity game shows and, in the case of Hollywood Squares, one of the longest-running shows in television history,' senior vice president of programming Bob Boden said.

Hollywood Squares will air daily at 8:30 p.m. as part of the network’s revamped primetime lineup.

Beginning April 15, Family Feud will air at 8 p.m., followed by half-hour episodes of Hollywood Squares, Match Game, Press Your Luck, Whammy! The All New Press Your Luck, Newlywed Game, The New Newlywed Game and another episode of Hollywood Squares.

Win, Lose or Draw airs weekdays at 11:30 a.m., the network said.

That would be really cool! The old Hollywood Squares around that time period was a great show.

It will be wierd seeing Paul Lynde alive again.

I did like the origional hollywood squares, although my all time favorite show is Match Game, which I feel was YEARS ahead of its time. I cant believe watching this show today some of the stuff Gene Rayborn "slipped in" the show. Very naughty for the 70's

I have found myself watching more and more Game Show Network. Some of the old shows are classics, our family favorite is the Newlywed Game. The red leisure suits are a hoot. My wife especially likes the $100,000 Pyramid. Don't know why, but she does. I look forward to watching the squares.

I love the Game Show Network as well.
My favorites are the Newlywed Game and Let's Make a Deal.

I wonder if the show will hold up after all these years, especially with most sexual inuendos are no longer inuendos and actually spoken live on TV? But then again I still think MatchGame is still funny, so Classic Hollywood Squares should hopefully still hold up.

I remember as a small kid, watching Hollywood Squares every day. I even remember one time I was mad at my Dad and was saying "I want Paul Lynde to be my dad." My mother laughed and Laughed and said "Well I'll explain that to you when you are older". Several years later it was clear that Paul Lynde wasn't tooo worried about Paternity suits :lol:
