What is the best hookup for a DP301 and two Model 1000's? I currently have two model 1000's and want to add a third DP301. I currently have two SW21 and a first generation DISH 500 with seperate LNB's. WHat multi switch should I buy. An SW44 and SW64 or somthing newer.

Thanks

You need a legacy quad, which is getting increasingly hard to get or a SW44, which can still be had, but will soon be hard to get, too, because of the nationwide shortage of Dish Network inventory currently reported on www.skyretailer.com/

Only a few items are available on Ebay, since the dealers are reported to have gon there to get parts for themselves.

Here are a few Ebay listings, for example:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3076315145&category=32848&sspagename=STRK%3AMESSE%3AIT&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3075443899&category=32843

Forget anything that says "DishPro" on it. It will not work with any of the receivers that you have.

Thank you Mike500, I looked around and a legacy SW44 seems to be what I need but what is a power inserter, do I need one and how many. The SW21 don't seem to need them.

Thanks

The SW44 kit has everything. The power inserter powers the switch. It fits on the coax between one receiver and the switch, so it is inside the house. That's all you need, unless you want the wing satellite, for which you can use the sw21's. The sw44 will work with your current lnb's. Try to mount it under an eave or indoors. Hope this helps.

The legacy quad is the better way to go. I have very little (in fact none) problems with these. Have had some of the Sw44's go bad. Also, you don't have to mount and wire switches, you just run a line from your receiver to the quad. As Mike said, they are very hard to find.
