811 Sat reception problem

Okay last night I sat down to watch CSI and Survivor on CBSHD. But it seems that it was missing from my guide. After calling tech support we found that I was not getting the 148 sat. But what is odd is that I was getting the 148 sat on my other 311 (obviously not CBSHD but I was getting the LA locals on the 311).

So the tech support guy suggested that I had some kind of switch problem or cabeling problem. My set up are 2 DP-21 switches, with each dish running a cable into each switch.

This seemed reasonable and I got off Tech support after scheduling a time for they to come fix it.

But then of course I couldn't stop fiddling and I figured, if the 311's switch worked and was delivering 148. Then why not send that output to my 811 so I can watch CSI in HD. But even after switching the inputs I have the same problem. Is it possible that this could be a problem inside the 811?

811 is still teething, it will take another 6 months for DISH to debug that software. From your description I would say the problem was in the 811.

I agree it is probably a 811 problem, I moved my 311 reciver to the living room and was able to get the 148 sat just fine.

I am just suprised it would work on everything else but stop for one sat.
