View Full Version : Hooking up 2nd dish
I currently have a Dish Pro Quad satellite. What do I need to add another satellite at 61.5? I figured it was some kind of switch but since I have 3 receivers I wasn't sure how to hook the 2nd dish up to all 3 wires.
You would need a DishPro Single.
How many receivers do you want to tie into the 2nd dish?
If you are hooking up one receiver, get a DP21 switch. That would allow you to tie the 2 satellites into 1 receiver
If you want more than 1, you would need a DP34. This allows you to hook up both satellites and feed it to 4 or more receivers.
another question....do you have any locals on a side satellite? If so, Dish would have to supply it for free.

You can also use three DP21 switches, a Dish500 with zero skew, two DishPro single lnb's with two connected to a DishPro splitter or one single DishPro lnb and a DishPro dual lnb. This way, you can cascade the DP21's to access the third satellite.
