I just got off the phone with Voom to hear what the latest deals were. Here's what applies to me (I live in IL):
2 options for getting the equipment:
$499 up front, you own the equipment (includes dish, receiver, and OTA antenna)
$9.50/month lease with no contract. This seems like a better deal since it would take four years plus at $10 a month to equal the $500 up front purchase. Just my thoughts.
2 Programming packages:
Va Va Voom Package
Inlcudes all 'cable favorites' like A&E, MTV, TV Land, etc
Includes all Voom exclusive HD content
Includes all HBO/SHO/Starz Premiums (10 of which are in HD??)
$79.90/Month
Standard Voom Programming Package (she had a catchy name for it, too)
Cable favorites
Voom exclusive HD content
Doesn't include Discovery HD??
$39.90/Month
It's pretty tempting since I'm tired of waiting for Dish to get their stuff together and send me my 811 that I've had backordered since Christmas.
