Just couldn't pass the $0 down, no commitment deal up. Especially considering that this is the only way for me to get HDTV without buying a receiver since I've vowed to never do business with Dish after they fvcked my 811 order up so much and showed they they could care less about their customers.
Anyway, my install date is 3/5 so I'll keep everyone updated on how it goes. What's the best forum for Voom info? Also, there any new rumors as to new SD channels such as TechTv, Food, Sci-Fi, CNBC and so on?

I myself have also signed up for Voom! You are absolutely right on the $0 down, no commitment! I could hardley justify spending the $500 to purchase the receiver, but just by having a credit card or debit card with the visa or mastercard logo on it, I could join the leasing program with no commitment. My installation date is March 4 between 8-12 EST. Being that I have been installing Dish Network and DirecTV systems for about 6 years I am interested in seeing how this whole thing pans out! Ill keep you posted!

I want Voom....bad. But until they add more mainstream SD stuff (DIY, HGTV, SciFi, TechTV, ESPN at the very least) and a WB and UPN affiliate (like the superstation pack from E*) the wife isn't going to go for it.

I'm going to sighn up monday or tuesday as well. The 0 down offer is to good to pass up for that much HDTV. I will be keeping Dish Network but I'm tired of waiting for a 811 and have heard of all types of problems with it. I plan on lowering my programing because of lap over programing. Why keep HBO on DISH when I can get it on Voom?

I got my Voom yesterday, and yes the picture quality is usually pretty kick ass... but buyer beware!
All the standard channels suffer from horrible comression artifacts, my plain dish network account has a superior picure.
If you opt for their cheaper $40/mo service you don't get any premium servic3es, and the HD channle lineup is VERY weak.
Some of the channels like Rush, Rave, and Epic are horrible. Their Cinema lineup is lame that they each play the same movies over an over and all all second rate stuff cinemax plays at 3AM.
I'm not sure I will keep this, they have a 30 day money back guarantee I think I will be calling about any day now.
Took advantage of the 0 down deal, and I have to say compared to D* and E* ( both of which i have) the HD PQ is by far the best. Cinema 10 is just 10 movie channels that play 1 movie each all day long and the selection is better than HDnet Movies. RushHD is extreme sports in HD. Monsters is old Horror and Godzilla movies in HD Id have to admit that Ultra and Gallery are not that great and Moov well I can't tell why that channel exist. with the option to get everything for 79.90 I decided why not that is around 32 HD Channels plus TNTHD and PlayboyHD and possibly ESPNHD and INHD1&2 coming soon. I'll use E* for locals, scifi ,and techtv and D* for ST. The SD PQ is on par with D* on some channels( i.e. overcompressed) and E* on others. but then again why watch SD unless absolutely necessary.
