I recorded three sequential ESPNHD programs 1hr+2hr+1hr Saturday night. I changed the time buffers (early start and late finish) to 0 for all three.
After the 3 live events were over I went back to the last program and started from the beginning to watch. After a few minutes (watching the end of the game that spilled over into this last program), I tried to switch back to the previous event (middle program), and got the "X" screen. This was followed by the medallion reboot screen, etc. Everything was fine when she came back up. All three events were properly recorded.
I realized later that I had not stopped the replay of the last event before trying to switch to the middle event (not that I thought I had to do so, but that was the sequence). Also, after I hit the "start over" selection to move from the last recording being replayed to the middle recording there was no obvious response for several seconds, so I thought it had not received my command and I instinctively hit "start over" a second time. That is when I got the "X".
PS: There were 8-10 seconds missing between the last two recordings, for what that is worth, though I attribute that to stop time for one recording and and set up time for the second one using the same tuner. I could tell this by the game clock in the game being recorded. The recordings switched from one program to another during a stretch of live play with no interruptions, so the game clock was a useable reference.
