In an attempt at getting the latest software update, I've been keeping the receiver in "standby" mode as much as possible for the past day. TV1 was on for a little bit and I turned TV2 on. I had an onscreen message telling me "to avoid the $4.99 add'l receiver fee, this tuner needs to be connected to a phone line". That's not the exact wording, but close.... Huh ? What add'l receiver ?? :lol:
Second one is I had a reminder 'timer' set on TV1 for tonight's Charlie Chat. As a backup, I went to TV2 and set it to actually record the show in case we wanted to watch something else on TV1. Basically, it wouldn't allow me. It went to a "manual timer" setting page but I wasn't able to pick channel 101 at 9pm. Why would it care or not allow this ??
