Band of Brothers will start this monday 4/8 at 9 pm eastern time til 11 pm. Then on every monday. I already have all thier shows when they were on,but a friend wants me to tape them. Shows were really good.

Speaking of HD... how much is it a month or is it included in the regular HBO package but you need another sat slot to see it?

The HBO and Showtime HD channels are included in the standard packages.

Both HBO HD and Showtime HD are located at both the 148 and 61.5 Orbital location so a second dish is needed.

You also have to be using a HD receiver - a Dish 6000 with Dish, or one of the numerous HD receivers that you can get with Directv.

HD stuff on dish is at 61.5 and 148. On Dtv, it's at 119, I believe.

How much do HDTV receivers cost now for DirecTV? My parents have a HDTV, but just standard receivers. They were $600 about 6 months ago. Thanks!

Directv HD receivers are still primarily in the $600 range, but occasionally there are great deals to be found - various receivers in the $450 range. And a couple of weeks ago, some Best Buy stores were clearing out open box RCA DTC-100s for $299. None of them in Denver had any at that price, though...I woulda picked one up in a heartbeat! Of course, my wife would have just shaked her head...3 HD receivers in the house...probably a bit much at this point in time.

I highly recommend that. It seems like every time I go in there I see satellite equipment drastically marked down. One time I saw an entire DirecTV setup with 2 receivers for $50. And those came with a card. I should have grabbed it and sold it on E-Bay.

I watched parts of it last night on HBO HD. I didnt think the picture was that great but the audio rocked.

God I love Dolby Digital!
