Over the weekend I set a weekly timer to record The Shield at 10:00 Mondays on FX (Sat. 137). Last night I discovered I had the day wrong. The Season Premiere is on Tuesday, and the one I had set was a repeat of last year's finale. So I changed it to Tuesday. Tonight I edited it again to eliminate the 3 minute end padding that gets stuck in. As soon as I exited from the timer menu, the blinking clock came up informing me the timer was about to start, even though it was only 8:17pm. I didn't cancel, and 5 minutes later the timer didn't fire. When I was finished watching the DVR event I was watching, I tried editing it again. The clock came up again as soon as I exited. So then I deleted the timer completely, and created a new one from the guide. Now the clock doesn't come up when I exit, even after going through another round of editing.
