Im a dish network dealer and I dont know both sides of the story ,but I think its interesting that echostar as the guts to stand up to viacom .
I Hope it works out for the Best.

I have noticed an increase in c band 4dtv sales.I have even had some dishnet customers reconnect there big dish and upgrade just recently.
Just thought I d pass it along

Well its a landmark event. But what sort of landmark? Charlie might get a monument, but exactly what kind its too soon to tell.....

From what I can see Dish and Viacom are BOTH wrong in letting things get to this point. They've had several months to work things out and they're both too stubborn to do it. My commitment to Dish runs out next month and I'm very seriously considering switching to DirecTV or back to cable. I hope Dish loses customers and Viacom loses viewers on their channels.

Nope. Same thing happened in several AOL/TW cable systems with the Mouse a year or two ago.

I think Charlie is doing the right thing by standing up to Viacom, He is trying to save us all money. No one wants to be bullyed around.

If he's really trying to save his customers money why is he charging $4.95 per month per PVR (510/522/921) while D* charges $4.95 per account?
