Unwanted channels return to Channels Received List

I'm a recent subscriber to D* after several years with E*. I have one problem with my Tivo.

Several channels reappear despite having been removed from the channels received list. PPV-170 and a couple of shopping channels at 228 and 239 (I think). I remove them, they're gone, and then within a day or two, they're back.

Is this normal, or is my Tivo defective?

yes mine does the same thing, especially channel 170 or 171 i remove it then the next day its back again.

It's normal and happens on non-Tivo units as well. If a channel gets renamed it will do this or a typical ploy will be for them to take the channel out and then back in so it appears. Happens mostly with shopping channels and the "barker" channels (selling Sunday Ticket and such). Yes, it can be annoying, no no big deal really.

For a Tivo unit you can setup your favorite list and then change your guide to use the favorite list and it shouldn't happen to the favorite list, only to "channels you receive" list.
