PQ on Green Bay/Appleton WI locals

Hi,

Great forum here, everyone....been lurking here the past couple of months and found lots of helpful information!

I was wondering if anyone here has the Green Bay/Appleton WI local channels yet, and if so, how's the picture quality? I've noticed that PQ quality on locals seems to be an issue with a lot of people, but haven't heard anything specific yet on GB.

I don't know this from experience, but aren't they the only thing on their transponder at the moment? If so, the picture quality should be pretty decent. Generally the poor picture quality on locals is caused by over-compression due to too many channels on a single transponder.

Of course, the other source of poor quality is the quality of the uplink being provided to Echostar; someone who is "in the know" would have to comment on this.

While I can't comment on the Green Bay locals, I can say that the Milwaukee locals have very decent picture quality.

The only complaint I had about the Milwaukee locals was the long (3+ month) wait time to get a 121 SuperDish. I hope those problems have been resolved for you in Green Bay.
